Goals for God

By Paul | February 26, 2008

goals2.JPGEspecially this year, the Bethel staff directors are running hard after being leaders in the pursuit of a deeper relationship with Jesus for our church.  Thought it might just be a good prayer list for you as you lift up the leadership of Bethel and these goals toward making disciples:

Teri Pearson: doing a pursuing-Jesus book study with her staff to help her leaders focus on Him

Dick Erickson: help men gain a better understanding of Scripture through Sword-Sharpening e-newsletter to Ironman leaders/others

Joseph Christopherson: adopt/administer a curriculum that’s a basic/fundamental course for growth/healing: Search for Life

Bob Bonner: lead a devotional at finance commission meetings with application e-responses back to him

Kelli Templeton: to encourage Resonate people helping to create/implement ministry activities and then getting involved in those activities

Chip Roebuck: hiring a music director to re-birth the worship ministry in the Body

Kent Ladendorf: recruit key sports ministry leads for each major sports program to develop/utilize their gifts in the Body

Dave Hilliard: reduce the number of people leaving Bethel through the “back-door” (especially in their first 6 months) by instituting a 5-wk Turbo Training class to clarify expectations

Paul Casey: establish a Discipleship Resource Map to resource all small group leaders toward helping their members grow

Dave Dawson: that his teams would gain deep relationship with Jesus as they make decisions about which global/local ministry opportunities to support

Tim Phillips: research multi-site strategies and West Pasco itself and determine the Bethelites who live there and a timeline for the satellite campus coming on line

Keith Cookson: increase the breadth of the worship teams and the quality of those teams starting with doing auditions to get 3 teams for each venue

Linda Bechtel: grab and grow (attract/deepen) women through more levels of Bible studies, a retreat, and events.

Dave Bechtel: stir up prayer among Bethel through groups forming, emails encouraging the 40-day fast/prayer, the 24/7 House of Prayer, and doing Why Pray? book with the elders
