…it deserves a recap. Especially the part about taking sin seriously. Leaders, let’s be about these pursuits as examples to our group members:
1. Stay filled with Jesus. There’s no need to go out for “more” when filled up.
2. Make no provision for the flesh. Take the eclairs out of the fridge and maybe the Internet out of your house, if it’s a temptation you can remove.
3. Don’t defraud, meaning don’t arouse desires in others that they cannot righteously satisfy.
4. Be accountable. No lone briquettes.
5. Give. It’s a greed-beater. Shovel it out; it will come back from a Bigger Shovel.
6. Be self-disciplined. Buffet, or deliver a blow, to your body through exercise, fasting, eating right, having healthy sleep patterns, etc.
7. Cleanse quickly. Confess. Repent.
