60 Seconds with a New Small Group Leader
By Paul | November 15, 2007
Bryan Dunfee and wife Carol started leading a GROW group a little over a month ago. Bryan has a great sense of humor and has been a vital part of the Bethel tech team in 2007. Quick Q & A with Bryan in passing:
1. What are you personally doing to pursue a deeper relationship with
Jesus this fall?
My wife and I have been renewing our commitment to pursue Christ daily through the study of His Word.
2. What is God doing in your group in the first 2 months?
We have had some great marriage studies in the first two months.
3. As a new leader this year, what is the hardest thing to get the
motivation to prepare for/do each week, to be the leader God wants you
to be?
Adequate preparation of the study materials
4. How did you and your wife know from God that this was the year to step
up and lead? Has He confirmed this since then, and if so, in what ways?
Apparently God spoke to Paul Casey & Dave Hilliard because they volunteered us (Paul actually threatened to break my legs if we didn’t cooperate!). We have loved every minute of it! Our group formed just in time to allow us to support one of our group members during pre-mature delivery by providing prayer and meals.
5. Just for fun: I know you love technology. If you were a piece of tech
equipment, what would you be and why?
(Bryan attached a simple on/off switch that said “man” at the top, as opposed to an image with many gauges, buttons, and lights that said “woman” at the top)
