What Happened to the Boy?
By Paul | August 22, 2007
A reflection from last Sunday:
- The kind of heart God desires is SOFT: simple (straightforward), open (receptive), forgiving (unbound/flexible), and trusting (what you say is how it is).
- The kind of heart that is a danger to Bethel Church and the kingdom is HARD: Haughty (conceited/arrogant), Adequate (self-sufficient/know-it-all), Restricted (rigid/restrained), and Deceived (lies = the way to happiness)
- Where there are rocks, there are no plants.
- Making investments or having “infestments”?
- The devil is like a bad older brother, spray-painting chains with attractive gold paint for us to wear.
- When people get filled up with the wrong stuff, they get rebellious.
- A prayer: “Lord, give me opportunities to drop some junk this week.”
