Autumn is Upon Us

Greetings in Christ, Leaders!
This quick Sower is to lay out the plan for Bethel’s thematic goal and small group launch for the fall season. Hope it clears up any confusion, and if you still have questions, please email me at paul.casey@bethel-church.org.
URGENT REQUEST: If you are a GROW group leader and have not done so yet, please go to the following link and plug in your small group information for this fall:

The reason for the urgency is that Pastor Dave is going to start this Sunday with pointing people to the web to start locating their small group home for this fall–especially for the sermon series in September.
Speaking of the sermon series, here’s how it works:
On Sept 9, Pastor Dave will be introducing the theme of Pursuing a Deeper Relationship with Jesus to the congregation, and encouraging everyone to get into a small group for the following 4 weeks BECAUSE there is a small group curriculum being developed that coordinates with the 4-week sermon series. We encourage you and your group to walk alongside Pastor Dave for those 4 weeks to maximize the experience, doing the study with your group; the materials are all provided for you and will be available on the 9th for your preparation.
When are those 4 weeks? Week one of the sermon series is September 16, which is the week we recommend you launching your small group, in order to do week one of the curriculum and keep the pace. Week two is Sept 23; week three is Sept 30, and the final week is that of October 7 (after which most groups will launch their own study–options which are still available for preview in the office area–FYI).
What else to be planning for your group vision:
- Who is your assistant leader?
- What will be your service focus for the year?
- Do you have the Leadership Community Experience calendared for all leaders of Bethel for Friday night, Sept 14 and Saturday morning, Sept 15--to inspire/challenge you from Art Azurdia/Pastor Dave, to equip you with practical workshops, and to interact personally with the vision for the year ahead.
Praying that this isn’t overwhelming information, but instead simplifying the key aspects of what’s coming in September and how we can move together toward kingdom pursuits as a Body.
