“I Can See Clearly Now” by Pastor Dave had some great takeaways to meditate upon from Aug 5’s sermon:
- When we are faithful to give to God’s work now, He will provide for us later.
- Don’t worry about bread (stuff–provisions)!
- At any given moment, you are either plugged into the Power Source, or you are fainting….
- The way the spiritually blind can see Jesus is to be led there by those who can see.
- First-touch marriages/Christianity is blue-sky; second-touch marriages/Christianity is working through the hard stuff.
From Aug 12: “The Road to Glory”, think on these things:
- Each of us has a cup the sometimes has tough things in them to drink.
- No great glory without great cost.
- God’s values are so different from the world’s values.
- Only Jesus can show a person his/her own road. We are in the same spot as blind Bartimaeus without God’s mercy.
- The crowd is fickle; you’ll have to abandon yourself to Jesus.
