Are Your Group Members GROWing?

Here’s a great discipleship evaluation that you could give your group members that is based on the GROW principles, as a means to stimulate action items in weak areas and celebrate what God is doing in each person spiritually in strong areas. (written by Kelli Templeton)
God-Lover Data (1-4 scale – 1 never, 4 almost always):
- I have faith in Jesus Christ and have declared Him my personal Savior.
- I engage in regular time with God through Bible reading and prayer.
- I express adoration and thanksgiving to God through music, words, attitudes, and actions.
- I have a loving, intimate relationship with the Father.
- I hear and yield to the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
Relationship-Builder Data (1-4 scale)
- I faithfully attend church worship services.
- I regularly invest in the spiritual life of another person or group.
- I am aware of my spiritual gifts and serve other believers for their good.
- I relate to my family members (parents, siblings, kids, spouse) in a way that pleases God.
- I seek reconciliation, forgiving and asking forgiveness for both real and perceived offenses.
Obedient Follower Data (1-4 scale)
- I rely on the Bible more than feelings/experience for my belief and actions.
- I am honoring God with my finances (spending and giving).
- I submit to the authorities God has place in my life.
- I live in grace rather than fear or legalism.
- My goals, plans, relationships and expectations are surrendered to God.
World Influencer Data (1-4 scale)
- I pray for, engage with, and invite my unchurched family and friends.
- I watch for and seize opportunities to talk about God in daily conversations.
- I work to promote good and expose evil in our community.
- I use my resources (time, money, etc) to meet the needs of the poor and needy.
- I know who Bethel’s missionaries are and what they do, and I pray for them.
- I have been involved in a mission trip.

This is excellent! Exactly what we need to enable our ministries to quantitatively evaluate how effective the ministry is in GROWing God’s people!
