….And this year we’re connecting disconnected Bethel attenders to small groups, as well as reaching out to our community! So…we’ll be working in small groups, with one or more small groups assigned to each Sharefest project. This will be something of an organizational drill (last year 950 Bethel people showed up for Sharefest…..!), but we’re starting early to get ahead of things. Small group leaders, coaches, and ministry directors will be heavily involved from now through Sharefest Saturday (17 March).
Sharefest Preparation Schedule, Responsibilities, and Leadership Positions
A. Preparation Schedule
1. Now: Before Christmas, Bethel’s Sharefest leadership came up with a long list of projects. It’s attached below, and will be on Bethel’s website. Each project will be sub-divided into small-group-sized tasks, and the project list will be updated as that happens. Please start discussing Sharefest projects with your small groups NOW!
2. 25 January thru 12 February: Each care group leader will receive a Sharefest sign-up sheet which asks:
• Whether your care group will be working on Sharefest together;
• Which care group members will be working with the group;
• Who will be your group’s Sharefest leader (can be a different person than your care group leader)
• Who will be your group’s Sharefest shepherd (can be a different person than your care group leader)
• Which disconnected Bethel attenders (and outsiders!) have been invited;
• Which project your group wants to work on;
• Your group’s plan for connecting with new people (disconnected Bethel attenders, or newcomers to Bethel) prior to Sharefest;
• Your group’s plan for following up with new people after Sharefest.
These will be submitted to Jan Sederburg (jan.sederburg@bethel-church.org, or hard copy to Bethel’s office), by 12 February.
